On Saturday 7th May, The Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum will be launching ‘Birthplace Bookworms’, a new reading club for children aged 7-11. The club will offer little ones the chance to read aloud with the support of dedicated volunteers, and discover fantastic fictional worlds, which will be brought to life through fun craft activities and games.
The first book that the club will read is Michael Morpurgo’s 'Kaspar: Prince of Cats', a heartwarming novel about an adventurous feline and his travels across the world.
Birthplace Bookworms will take place fortnightly and will cost £3.50 per child, including activities, refreshments, and books. There are discounts available for family groups. Booking is essential - for more details or to book your place, call 01543 264 972, email firstname.lastname@example.org or pop into the Museum on the corner of the Market Square.
