Prepare for an evening of Power Ballads and Belters from the 1970s to modern day.
Prepare for an evening of ‘big songs‘ from punchy ballads to classic ‘belters‘ all brought to you by the Sunday Acoustic Lounge team, Lichfield Actor/Producer Tom Roberts and Musical Director, Gladstone Wilson (X Factor, Tracey Chapman, Paul Carrack, Eternal).
Expect a handpicked mix of anthemic ‘power songs’ spanning from the 1970s to modern day from the likes of Cher, Bonnie Tyler, Fleetwood Mac, Luther Vandross, Shania Twain, Elkie Brooks, Don Henley, Blondie and much more.
To perform these powerful favourites, we welcome back the wonderful Sarah Riches, a firm ‘Lounge‘ favourite. She is joined by Bryan Brindley, fresh from his recent sell out show at The Hub. We are also excited to introduce two rising stars, Chloe Wood and Issy Taylor.
Sarah Riches is a Staffordshire-based independent singer-songwriter and recording artist, whose smooth melodic vocals often remind her listeners of Olivia Newton John. Her latest album ‘I Don’t Give Up Easily’ contains 10 original country songs, varying in mood from upbeat country to bluesy reflection. It was recorded in Nashville in April 2022 by legendary producer Fred Mollin.
Bryan Brindley is a local singer/songwriter renowned for his captivating acoustic performances supporting acts like T'Pau, Toploader, and Chesney Hawkes. His set includes covers from across the decades with his main influences being the Beatles, Crowded House and Oasis. Bryan’s latest self-penned song, Set Love Free has been described as being uplifting with a 60s feel.
