As night falls over the trenches, prepare to take a tour and witness the frontline come to life. Meet wartime characters along the way as you journey through the allied areas and then venture into the WW1 German bunker. Listen to the tales of trench life and hear the sounds of the nearby battlefield.

The museum gallery will have temporary displays for you to browse either before or after your tour. Gallery open from 4.30pm-9pm

Warm-up with a hot pork bap, burger or real sausage hotdog from @Sipz&Bitez catering and enjoy a warming drink served from the WVS wagon onsite. Please bring cash as the internet connection isn’t reliable.

•• Scenarios will take place during the tours, some of which will include casualty simulation, explosions and loud bangs! Suitable for visitors over 12 years accompanied by an adult. No dogs permitted at the event due to loud noises and explosions. This is an outdoor event and will continue regardless of wet weather. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the environmental conditions. No refunds will be issued – the organiser reserves the right to postpone or re-arrange the event if severe weather conditions are deemed unsafe for the event to continue.

The museum will be open as usual from 10am until 4pm for general admissions whilst the re-enactors are onsite preparing for the evening event. Usual charges apply. The evening is a pre-booked event and daytime visitors will not be permitted to stay later than 4pm without a valid evening ticket. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
