Music & Theatre Lichfield music concert to raise funds for African clean water project

Tickets are now available for the musical fundraising event Vibes & Voices, taking place on Saturday 17 May, at Wade Street Church, Lichfield. Featuring performances from Rock Choir and the Aspire Jazz Band, this concert will raise funds to provide clean water for a village in Africa through World Vision, an international children’s charity.

Oli Nicholls from Wade Street Church, who also works for World Vision, explained the inspiration behind the fundraiser: “We take water for granted, but for many people – especially children – it means walking miles every day just to fill a container for their family. This daily struggle prevents children from attending school and enjoying a good quality of life.

“This event is a chance for us, the Lichfield community, to come together and make a real difference. It means a lot to have two fantastic musical acts supporting this cause, and we hope local people will come along, enjoy the evening, and show their support.”

Rock Choir, known for its lively performances and uplifting harmonies, will bring a mix of well-loved pop and rock hits to the stage, delivering an energetic and engaging experience for the audience. Meanwhile, Aspire, The Lichfield Community Jazz Band, will treat attendees to a rich selection of classic jazz tunes, blending smooth melodies with vibrant, swinging rhythms.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm at Wade Street Church, Lichfield, WS13 6HL. The venue is fully accessible, and refreshments will be available.
