Musical Lineup:
Prepare to sing and dance the day away to this year’s eclectic lineup of folk-inspired bands, each bringing their unique sound and energy to the stage.
Kootch: This lively 4-piece band from Derbyshire infuses traditional folk with indie and pop, creating a spirited musical experience that is sure to have you up and dancing!
Bang on the Ear: Hailing from Birmingham, this local Irish-inspired band will fill the air with lively songs and tunes, guaranteed to get your feet tapping.
The Durkins: Festival favourites who never fail to get us singing along, Aldridge-based The Durkins will once again be wowing the crowds with their lively blend of folk and sing-a-long favourites.
Mr Burton's Soup Club Band: From Stourbridge, Mr Burton’s Soup Club Band will be bringing their unique blend of jolly traditional tunes and beautifully arranged songs rooted in the rich traditions of the West Midlands.
Frankie Statham: Born in Derbyshire, Frankie's soulful blend of folk, soul, and surf-pop is sure to captivate audiences.
Liz Wall: Let the haunting melodies of this Leicestershire-based folk singer whisk you away as she brings self-penned and traditional folk songs to life with her beautiful voice.
Joseph Davis: After reaching the final of our songwriting competition in 2023, local young talent Joseph returns to the festival to entertain the crowds once again, after bowling over our judging panel last year with his soulful and mature song-writing and performance.
Lichfield Festival of Folk Songwriting Competition Finalists: Hear a showcase of this year’s finest talent from our songwriting competition – expect to be amazed!
Plus, don't miss special guest appearances from the cheerful tunes of Lichfield-based Wayside Serenaders and the powerhouse of traditional shanties and songs that is Lichfield Lighthouse Company, who will be keeping us entertained throughout the day between our stage acts. Lichfield Folk on the Farm is a day for the whole family to enjoy! There's something for everyone, with a varied children and young people's programme running throughout the day to entertain our little folkies too!
