Lichfield Arts Fuse Festival 2019

Now established as one of the Midlands’ largest free music and arts festivals, Fuse returns to Lichfield’s beautiful Beacon Park between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th July with music, grassroots projects, family activities and more. This year brings a tremendous music line-up spanning rock, afrofbeat, RnB/soul, ska, pop, folk, jazz, reggae and even skiffle! Headliners on Friday night are Irish punk folksters The Lagan; on Saturday night it’s the amazing 11-piece afro-rock-funk-psych outfit Agbeko and the festival closes on Sunday afternoon with the Bethlehem Casuals, self-styled purveyors of Afro-Cuba Tropical-Kraut. Fuse always supports local talent, and this year is no exception, with Americana duo A Different Thread, rockers YIKES, CityLightz and Learn to Lie, superstar DJ Thumpa, the Lichfield Gospel Choir, the hybrid skiffle of The Grecian Hummers, young world folk troubadours Wildfire Folk, community jazz band Blast Off and local legend Rob Taylor with his band The Bad Decisions.

And there's not just music! There will be circus skills, a steampunk ceilidh, Bhangra and salsa dance workshops, children’s storytelling, sporting challenges, poetry readings, arts and crafts, group dance displays, close-up magic and a yoga class. Plus food stalls and market stalls organised by Lichfield Food Festival and licensed bars.
