Nestled in the heart of the historic city of Lichfield, blending its rich tapestry of heritage with fresh, seasonal food is the Quill and Scholar, our gorgeous new Heartwood Inn which opened back in Spring. Heartwood inns are part of the Heartwood collection, an award winning collection of cosy pubs and atmospheric brasseries across the UK who have been welcoming guests for over 25 years.

The Quill and Scholar has undergone an extensive refurbishment to renovate this enchanting moc-Tudor building. We have numerous intimate corners and snug spots for uninterrupted conversation. Our spacious open garden room at the back is the perfect spot for large family dining, the same as our back garden is the place to be during the hot sunny days. Our restaurant is fully air conditioned and your four legged furry friends are welcome here!

Our menu beautifully weaves together dishes that celebrate the kaleidoscope of colour that is this time of the year and taste just as good as they look. We offer a wide selection of pub classics, seafood dishes same as vegetarian and vegan options to offer something for everyone.
