It offers a blend of traditional and contemporary shopping experiences including the long-standing Antiques Centre & Mabel's Tearoom. For those looking for a creative purchase, the shopping village is also home to several talented artists and crafts people and anyone looking for a pamper there is a hair & beauty salon too. And not forgetting a gift shop, as well as Lichfield Garden Centre which means as well as treating yourself you can purchase items for your home and garden too.
Once you’ve shopped until you drop, you’ll need to refuel. There is Mabel’s Tearoom, Thyme Kitchen, Bradbury's Farm Shop & Butchery and The Cheese, Gin & Ale Barn offering great food and settings to relax in while you plan which shops you want to visit next. The shopping village is just minutes from Lichfield and has a large free car park, so there’s no limit on how long you stay.
Heart of the Country
Heart of the country is another family-owned shopping village conveniently located on the A38 in Swinfen, just a few miles out of Lichfield.
There are 20 individual shops housed in a collection of converted 19th century farm buildings, including unique gift shops, boutiques, a bespoke jewellers, craft stores, a bridal shop, home and garden accessories, award-winning restaurants as well as a hairdressers and beauty salon.
When it comes to food, there are four eateries on site providing something for everyone. There is the Pear Tree Creperie, The Barn Restaurant, The Lichfield Tea Co, and Field's Biltong Shack.
Visitors can enjoy lunch in courtyards surrounded by beautiful plants and trees and can then take a relaxing stroll through woodland – there’s even a Fairy Woods experience which is perfect for all the family to explore and learn about nature and recycling and there are three friendly pig residents to say hello to as well. The Plant Plot Garden Centre and Garden Village
The Plant Plot is the perfect destination for anyone wanting to shop for beautiful plants and trees and also browse the Garden Village which is a community of small independent businesses located on the site. There are over 35 shops on site selling a wide range of crafts, giftware, clothing and beauty products and treatments. There are also creative workshops.
