Beacon Park

Covid-19 update

Beacon Park’s play area, public toilets and Ranger Station are now open, and golf, foot golf and disc golf are all available to play.  If visiting, please follow social distancing guidance.

Events and activities have been cancelled or put on hold for the time being.

Visitors are also asked to put any litter in the bins or to take it home with them.

Beacon Park is set in more than 70 acres of beautiful gardens and open space within easy reach of the city centre. Visit the park for a leisurely walk, golf, children's play area, crazy golf, tennis, basketball, bowls, play disk, foot golf and more. Beacon Park is also steeped in history and heritage, and information boards around the site give you a glimpse into the area's rich historical past.

Refreshments and ice cream are available in the bistro and the cafe next to the children's play area during peak season. Toilets and baby changing facilities are also available next to the children's play area, in addition to disabled toilet facilities with a disability hoist.

Summer activities include inflatable fun, pedalos and donkey rides in good weather. The park is also a great place for a round of golf or a picnic.

Woodland activiites include pond dipping and wildlife watching. A range of outdoor activities are also provided throughout the year - look out for information on our noticeboard or speak to the rangers.
