A taste of Lichfield: Seasonal menus and community dining at The Potting Shed
Nestled within the Plant Plot village in Lichfield, The Potting Shed is much more than just a place to eat – it’s an invitation to slow down, savour local flavours, and connect with your community.
Run by husband-and-wife team Richard and Hannah, The Potting Shed’s signature is its 8-course tasting menu, which changes every month to reflect the best of the season. Expect to find local stars like Hoar Cross lamb, Packington pork, Elmhurst asparagus, Evesham heritage tomatoes and Wiltshire’s Rosary Ash goats cheese on your plate – beautifully prepared and served in a warm, welcoming setting.
The tasting menu runs every Friday and Saturday evening, with arrival from 6.30pm to dine at 7pm, and is priced at £75 per person.
For those who love a culinary adventure, The Potting Shed also hosts fortnightly themed evenings – the first, a Jamaican night, was a sell-out success. Next up is a Northern Mediterranean night on Thursday 10th July, featuring a relaxed 3-course sharing menu for £40 per person.
Beyond fine dining, The Potting Shed is giving back too – their new Tuesday Supper Club offers an affordable 3-course meal at £22.50 per person, with £5 from each booking donated to local charity Friends 2 Friends. It’s all about bringing people together over good food and good company.
Looking for a venue with a difference? The Potting Shed is available for exclusive hire, daytime meetings and corporate bookings – with free parking and a unique setting surrounded by the independent businesses of the Plant Plot village.
