Boston Tea Party to open in old Cinema in Lichfield

Boston Tea Party (BTP), the purposeful café chain, will open the doors to its newest café in Lichfield in what was formerly the Regal Cinema.
The Bristol-based independent chain will start work imminently on the historic building on Tamworth Street. When the café opens in late summer it will create around 30 new jobs for the town. Boston Tea Party’s 25th café will seat 150 people inside and out. BTP is currently recruiting to fill management, front of house, chef and barista positions. Those interested should send a current CV and a covering letter including the position being applied for to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Boston Tea Party’s family-friendly cafés serve up a range of ethically sourced food and drink, including its award-winning breakfasts (served all day), lunches and homemade cakes alongside specialty coffees, loose-leaf teas and homemade smoothies and juices.
CEO and Co-owner Sam Roberts says;
“Every BTP is unique and designed to be sympathetic to the building and surroundings. That’s why we were so excited to discover the extraordinary former Regal Cinema where we will take our design cues from the Egyptian/ Art Deco building. We’re aiming to create a community hub for Lichfield, a place to share great food and drink.”
On top of great food and drink however, the business cares deeply about its impact on the planet. Sam continues;
“We put the company purpose of Making Things Better at the centre of everything we do.
Whether you bring the family for brunch or pop in to grab a takeaway coffee (bring your reusable
cup!) you’ll leave knowing you’ve done a little bit of good too.”
On the 1st June 2018 BTP banned single use coffee cups from its cafés – the first café chain to do so in the UK. So far it’s saved over 270,000 cups from landfill. Fancy a takeaway? No problem, bring any reusable cup, borrow one from the fully refundable cup loan scheme or buy one from £4.25 (a subsidised price which includes your first drink for free). The 1st June is now Making Things Better day for BTP. Stay tuned for the company’s latest pledge to the planet.
