Let Me In are back with the return of their sell-out production – ‘Familiarity’
Let Me In are back, after their critically acclaimed production of ‘Once the Musical’ last summer, with the return of their sell out production – ‘Familiarity’, a stripped back, acoustic concert-cum-theatre show based around familiarity and comfort in a time of festivities.
After three years in a post-COVID world of creative wilderness, a small group of artists and friends have come together to sing some of their favourite songs as part of a warming, festive celebration of comfort – full of melting melodies, close vocal harmonies and using a variety of folk inspired instruments. Let Me In will take you on an intimate journey through acoustic classics, acapella music and modern indie folk from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, The Staves, Nick Drake, Fleetwood Mac and much more.
Our incredible line-up of musicians and singers include Lichfield born artists Lydia Gardiner (People, Places and Things), Rebecca Newman (White Winter Hymnals) and Christopher Buckle (Director ‘Once the Musical’), Huddersfield based singer-songwriter Ewan Steady (Musical Director ‘Once the Musical’) and many more.
Christopher Buckle, Creative director of Let Me In says: ‘Familiarity’ is a musical exploration of what it means to transition from a place of isolation to building a home – a place of warmth, comfort and love. A group of artists from around the UK will tell their stories through original songs as well as folk songs they cherish – with movement and spoken word that ignites feeling of nostalgia, comfort and familiarity.’
Tickets: Tickets for the show, at £15 (concession available for under 25s) are available online thehubstmarys.co.uk or pop in and see us at The Hub.
