Event info
The subject of light has been a source of inspiration for artists for centuries from Caravaggio to the Impressionists and James Turrell. You’ll be able to learn how artists use light in their work to create pieces that engage the viewer. Then it’s time to get creative as you make drawings exploring the use of light and shade in a still life in two group taught sessions. In the third lesson, you will be able to develop your skills from the first two lessons by starting your individual drawing and painting project supported by individual coaching within the group. You will be encouraged to explore a range or methods and materials specific to your practice and given tips on how to extend your practice beyond the course.
