Alexei Watkins left graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and was awarded the Dennis Brain Prize. As a soloist, Alexei has performed Horn and Piano recitals across the UK at venues including St John’s Smith Square and the Buxton and Presteigne Festivals. A keen orchestral player, he has played Principal Horn with ENO, the Hallé and Glyndebourne Sinfonia, and is currently on trial for Principal Horn
with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and for 3rd Horn with the Philharmonia Orchestra.

His programme, with regular Lichfield Festival Young Artist performer, pianist Harry Rylance, will include works by Wagner and Strauss, alongside the Beethoven Horn Sonata.
